Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €372 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Do I need to bring the boat back the night before my charter ends?
Yes, all charters must return to the home base the night before the final day and spend the night in the marina. This lets us get the boat ready for disembarkation on the final morning.
Can I add a skipper or stewardess to my charter?
Yes, you can. A skipper costs 190 per day plus provisioning, and a stewardess costs €190 per day plus provisioning. Both prices include VAT.
Is cleaning included, or do I need to clean the boat before returning it?
End cleaning applies to all charters and costs 300, paid in cash at the base.
Are there separate cabins for crew on the catamaran?
Yes, the catamaran has crew cabins in the front peaks. They have their own WC and separate access, so a skipper or stewardess has private space.
How do I pay for my charter?
Payment is by bank transfer in two instalments. You pay 50% within five working days of booking confirmation and the other 50% 30 days before departure. If a payment is late, the booking will be cancelled.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
April–October, hot and dry with the strong northerly Meltemi wind peaking in July–August, especially across the Cyclades.
