About this boat

Niriides Cruises offers private, fully crewed catamaran sailing holidays through the Cyclades, departing from Paros. Aboard our Lagoon 42, Aktaia, guests explore some of the most beautiful and lesser-known corners of the Aegean, from secluded bays and uninhabited islands to hidden sea caves, remote beaches, fascinating shipwrecks and crystal-clear waters accessible only by boat. Our itineraries can include destinations such as Koufonisia, Iraklia, Schinoussa, Donousa, Milos, Folegandros, Sifnos and the Small Cyclades, combining authentic sailing with swimming, snorkeling, exploring traditional villages and discovering places far from the usual tourist routes. Every charter includes a professional skipper and a dedicated onboard chef, preparing fresh Mediterranean cuisine using local ingredients. Guests enjoy a completely private experience, with no other groups on board. With four double ensuite cabins accommodating up to eight guests, Aktaia offers comfortable accommodation for families and groups of friends. Each itinerary is thoughtfully designed around guests' preferences, weather conditions and the natural rhythm of the sea, offering an authentic and personal way to discover the Greek islands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The owner insures the yacht and its equipment as required by Greek law (fire, marine and collision risks, third-party damage, loss or damage).
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €372 at €1.95/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not personally — this boat requires a skipper, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
What happens if the weather turns bad during my trip?
The Skipper has the final say on safety and may change the order of ports or stops, or decide not to sail in winds above Beaufort Force 7 (33 knots). Itineraries can't be guaranteed because of weather, so we recommend allowing at least 24 hours at either end of your trip and arranging a night's accommodation before and after.
What does the Skipper do on board?
The Skipper is responsible for the safety and comfort of the vessel and everyone aboard, and decides routes and ports. You'll get a safety briefing when you board, and the Skipper's decisions on safety and wellbeing are final.
What if something breaks or the boat can't sail during my charter?
If gear failure or an engine breakdown keeps the yacht in port for more than 48 hours, we'll try to provide comparable arrangements for the rest of your trip. If we can't do that within 48 hours and the voyage has to end, you receive pro rata compensation based on your tour cost.
Can I bring children aboard?
Family groups of all ages are welcome. We can't take unaccompanied children under 18, and parents or guardians are responsible for their children at all times.
Are there rules on alcohol and smoking?
Alcohol, at sea or in port, is allowed at the Skipper's discretion for safety reasons. Smoking is never permitted below deck and is allowed on deck only if the Skipper agrees. Excessive drinking, drugs or disruptive behavior can end your trip without a refund.
