About this boat

From Baška Voda, the maestral fills in reliably by midday, short hops between islands make an easy rhythm, and most evenings end tied to a town quay with dinner ashore. Everyone gets their own space aboard, no shared cabins to negotiate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The yacht is insured under the terms of the operator's insurance company and covered against third-party damages. Covered damage must be reported immediately to the operator or the insurer, otherwise the charterer is personally liable for the full damage.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~50 HP engine burns roughly 4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 84 L ≈ €157 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Can I bring my dog or other pet on board?
Pets are not allowed on the yacht by default. If you would like to bring one, you need to agree it with us in advance.
Are there limits on how I can use the yacht?
Yes. You can't sub-charter the yacht, enter regattas or races, use it commercially, or go professional or night fishing. Night sailing and sailing in unsafe weather are also not allowed.
Where am I allowed to sail?
You need to stay within Croatian territorial waters. Sail only in safe weather and good visibility.
What if the operator thinks my crew isn't experienced enough?
We can refuse to hand over the yacht if the charterer is not competent to operate it. We can instead assign a skipper to your charter, which is charged extra.
What happens if I return the yacht late?
A delay of up to three hours costs one day's charter fee. Beyond three hours you pay triple the daily fee plus any other expenses. Bad weather isn't accepted as an excuse, so we recommend returning the night before your charter ends.
