About this boat

Split from ACI Marina puts you behind the islands where the maestral fills in reliably by midday, easy hops between town quays for two couples or a family who'd rather eat ashore than cook. Everyone gets a proper cabin to retreat to, with harbours close enough together that no day feels long.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The price includes vessel use and insurance. The insurance covers all maritime risks and includes mandatory third-party liability.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. Estimated from engine power: this boat's ~50 HP engine burns roughly 4 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 84 L ≈ €157 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Where am I allowed to sail?
You can sail within Croatian territorial waters. If you'd like to go beyond them, let us know at least 30 days before your charter starts.
What sailing experience does my crew need?
The skipper needs a valid competency certificate. If we or the base manager feel the skills aren't sufficient, you'll need to take a professional skipper at extra cost, or name another qualified skipper before you set off.
Are there limits on how I can use the boat?
The boat can't be sublet or used commercially, for example for professional fishing or diving. You also can't operate it under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
What should I do if something breaks during my charter?
Contact us straight away using the numbers in the boat's documentation. If we fix it within 24 hours, no compensation is due. For serious damage or accidents, get written reports from the authorities involved and don't agree to any towing or salvage deals yourself.
What condition should I return the boat in?
Please return it clean with full water and fuel tanks, at the agreed place and time. Check the engine oil and water daily during your trip, as damage from low oil or water isn't covered by insurance.
When is the best time to sail in Croatia?
May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
