About this boat

Oceanis 46.1 “Joy’s Grace” (2020): room for the whole crew Joy’s Grace is a Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 based at D-Marin Marina Lefkas. She is one of the most spacious monohulls in her class, which makes her a great choice for larger groups of family or friends. With 5 cabins and 10 berths, everyone has their own space on board. Why she stands out: 5 cabins for up to 10 guests: 4 double cabins plus 1 bunk cabin, which is perfect for kids or friends. She gives you more sleeping space than most boats her size. 3 bathrooms: more WC/showers mean less waiting in the morning, even with a full crew. Easy to sail: a furling mainsail and a self-tacking jib let you set and trim the sails from the cockpit with almost no effort. That makes her very easy to handle for smaller or less experienced crews. Twin wheels and twin rudders: great visibility and steering control, and she feels stable and responsive under sail. Generous range: 570 l of fresh water and a strong 80 HP Yanmar engine, so you can explore the islands with confidence. Modern Oceanis design: a bright, open saloon and a wide cockpit made for long lunches at anchor and relaxed evenings in the bay. Make it yours: add a skipper, hostess or cook, unlimited Wi-Fi, SUP, kayak, BBQ grill, Scubajet or airport transfers from Preveza. Spacious, easy to sail and only a short hop from Meganisi, Kalamos, Ithaca and Kefalonia, Joy’s Grace is a smart choice for big crews who want comfort. Bareboat charter (skipper available on request).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The yacht has comprehensive hull insurance for property damage to boat and equipment, and boat liability insurance without deductible covering at least EUR/USD 1 million.
Do I need a sailing licence in Greece?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: Two crew with proof of competence are required — a skipper holding an ICC or national equivalent and a co-skipper who signs a declaration of sailing experience.
Can I sail if the weather turns bad?
If the forecast shows 7 Bft or more for your planned leg, you must stay in your sheltered port or berth. Take extra care when sailing at night. Weather is not an excuse for a late return, so in your last 24 hours keep close enough to the return port to arrive on time even if conditions worsen.
Where am I allowed to sail?
You may sail only within the sea area set out in the charter contract and ship's papers. Leaving it needs our express consent. In uncertain or unusual conditions we can narrow the area or impose a night sailing ban.
What sailing experience does my skipper need?
Your skipper must have the nautical and navigational experience to handle the yacht safely under sail and engine in your whole sailing area. We may ask for proof of experience and check their ability before handover. If they clearly aren't up to it, we can arrange a skipper at your cost or refuse to hand over the yacht.
How many people can come aboard?
Only the people named on your crew list, and no more than the yacht is permitted to carry. You need to give us the full crew list before the charter starts.
What should I do if something breaks during my charter?
Report any damage or breakdown to us straight away by phone or radio. You can fix minor wear-and-tear problems up to EUR 150 yourself and be reimbursed against a receipt. For bigger repairs, agree the work with us first and keep any replaced parts. If damage is not your fault, you may be entitled to a price reduction for lost time.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
April–October, hot and dry with the strong northerly Meltemi wind peaking in July–August, especially across the Cyclades.
