About this boat

Short island hops behind the chain mean everyone's ashore for a taverna dinner most nights, not stuck cooking in the heat. Air conditioning and a stern thruster make tight town quays easy, so the midday warmth stays outside where it belongs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this boat insured, and who pays for damage?
Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. For damage it doesn't cover, your liability is usually limited to the security deposit, except where the operator's terms say otherwise. Operator terms: The operator takes out the compulsory vessel insurance at its own cost. This insurance does not cover persons on board or loss of or damage to their personal belongings, so the operator recommends the guest take out adequate insurance.
How much will fuel cost?
Fuel isn't included, and on a powerboat it's the biggest variable cost. Estimated from engine power: at a typical planing cruise this boat's 300 HP engine burns roughly 45 L/h — about €84 an hour at €1.87/L. It depends heavily on speed: easing off the throttle cuts it sharply, running flat out raises it. Plan your fuel around the hours and speed you expect to cruise.
Do I need a sailing licence in Croatia?
Not if you add a skipper — this boat offers one, who holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.
Can I bring my dog on board?
Pets are only allowed on board with our prior consent, so please ask us before you book.
Where am I allowed to sail?
Your charter area is limited to the Croatian territorial sea. If you want to go beyond it, you need our written consent first.
What sailing experience does my crew need?
Whoever steers must hold a valid navigation permit and have the necessary maritime and navigation knowledge. If that knowledge is lacking, we can assign a skipper at your cost. If you refuse one in that case, you won't be allowed to leave port and the booking amount is retained.
What if bad weather affects my trip or my return?
Don't leave a protected port in bad weather, and plan your route so you can still get the boat back to its home port in severe weather. If you're going to be late, tell the base head right away and wait for instructions. Late-return costs are charged to you.
What should I do if something breaks or I have an accident?
Contact the base head and us immediately. After an accident or theft you'll also need a report certified by the port captain and police. If the fault isn't your doing, we'll repair it as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours, or find you an adequate replacement vessel.
When is the best time to sail in Croatia?
May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
